locally grounded, internationally inspired.

Australian wine has never been in a better place, since the first vine materials were imported in the first fleet, to a period of international dominance during the French wine blight, to finally embracing table wines after the 60’s. Wine in Australia has a 240 year old history of wine, with some of the oldest vines in the world (which you can find examples of the oldest vine Pinot Meunier, Mouvedre and Shiraz on this list), this New World region has plenty of history.

This cumulates into what we have in front of us today, a list that embraces boutique producers across Geelong, Australia and the World.

Whilst this list is a celebration of what we are capable of closer to home, crafting world class Pinot, Chardonnay, Gamay and Shiraz. It is about showcasing examples from the world stage, with wines from fellow New World Regions like South Africa, New Zealand and the USA and the grapes ancestral homes of Burgundy, Beaujoulais, Mosel and Barolo.

As much as this is focused on the wines of Geelong and their International benchmarks, it is at its simplest a list of wines we love to drink, each with their own story.

Please feel free to explore the list and there’s nothing we’d enjoy more than to chat with you about it.

“Shining a light on local Victorian producers, this list is the result of a great deal of care and passion for the featured wines. Notes and insights add personality, including staff favourites with personal notes on each pick. Handfuls of star French, Italian, German and other international producers are included, alongside the wines of surrounding regions, elsewhere in Victoria and Australia on the whole. This focus also includes back-vintages from By Farr, Bannockburn Vineyards and Bindi Wines, to name a few, and value is a highlight throughout.”
